Pretty sad when you can't even go sledding on public property for fear of getting sued by money grabbing losers.

I lived in Green River Wy in 1950 I was 12 and wanted a sled for Christmas. Didn't get but I did get a 22 rifle.

Anyway The city always left the street from the Grammer school down to the Highway (US 40)covered with snow so we kids could sled down it. It was a great run and the put cinders from the trains on the bottom to stop us from going out into the highway.

Boy there are time when I wish we could go back to those good ol' days. I'm pretty sick of a few old Idiots ruining things for the kids.
I do all i can for them around here to play in the snow and that may just be tomorrow its getting cold and raining right now.

Darn i wish i was 50 UK 60 years younger

Walt

And people wonder why our kids get in trouble or keep their heads buried in a computer or ipod? You can't do the good clean fun anymore. We used to skate on the Wood river near Grand Island and at the sandpit at the Shelton exit on I-80 but there is probably a sign there too.

Wouldn't the world be better off if we could just get back to yesteryear when people had respect for each other and we were all accountable for OUR OWN mistakes!!

Quebec, sledding capital of north america just introduced laws that make property owners immune to liability for sledders accidents and also increase fines for sledders caught tresspassing.

This is great news for property owners who have snowmobile trails passing through their property.
