Helped my son today work on his 92 Dodge Cummins engine. The manifold heater relay melted down in front of our eyes. Called the Dodge dealer who said they no longer supply them. What a bunch of bull. There are plenty of these trucks around here. Does anyone know where he might find a relay.
Sorry, I don't usually gripe. I can find any part I need for my 1917 Model T, but not for a 92 Dodge.

I'm not familiar with the relay you're dealing with.... but, it wouldn't just be a standard 4RD or something like that that can be found in a bin at a heavy truck supply? Look at the terminals and compare it to a headlight or horn relay. If not, then I think just about any Ford starter relay could be made to work. Relays are relays, except for load ratings. They're wired differently for different applications, but a relay is a relay....
I would also second the idea of going to the Cummins shop. They've probably got it, or know exactly what you're looking for. Good luck.

Rod

Richard,
You may want to try Cummins shop. I don"t mess around at all with the Dodge dealer. The dealer here usually just takes it over to Cummins anyway, then charge for it. I go to Cummins for all of my parts and some work for my 1991 250, CTD.

You can call Geno"s Garage at 1-800-755-1715. They are connected to Turbo Diesel Register magazine for the Dodge Cummins Engines. Hope this helps you.
Good luck,
Deano
