My father recently purchased a TUG tractor. There's a plate on it that reads Northwestern Motor Co. from Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The Model # is JG40FK-2 and the Serial # is 1893. It says the delivery date to be 2/1963. I'm looking to see 1. If this company is still around and 2. If I can get a manual for this tractor to surprise my Dad, and lastly if there's somewhere he can get parts for this tractor.

We have a Northwestern Tug out at airport. I do service work on ground equipment for ABX air . Not sure right off hand what model it is . Heavy though 14,000 lbs , 300 6cyl ford , c4 trans planetary reduction rear axle 16 inch tires dual on rear . I 'll tell ya ,,one of the drivers was going to fast one night , hit patch of ice and it went right through the building !! Didn't hurt the tug at all.Thing is pretty much made from 3/4 -1 inch plate steel . What a beast

Do a google search for Airport Tugs, there are a lot of brands mentioned there. A little research may show a merger or the actual brand.

Debra,
I'd love to see a picture of that tug if it wouldn't be too much trouble.
