John Deere 1020

I saw this ad and thought you might've been looking for something like this. I don't know if it's too far away for you, though.

If you go to the site and type 'John Deere 1020' in the search box at the top it will bring up the ad.

For the record: I'm no relation to the seller and have no interest in the sale.

Happy Holidays to all!

Anthony

Janicholson, Thank you for the tragic story you related. In the future when I am tempted to use unsafe blocking I hope to remind myself of this incident.

What I can't figure out is just what a John Deere 1020 has to do with cement blocks?

Allan I need to remind all that concrete blocks are deadley when laid on their side. ( When I was teaching High School in Union City Ohio, my principal died changing his oil by putting blocks that directon. Though handy, I made a point to never use blocks to hold up anything but homes. Even in their correct orientation they cannot stand point loading and explode with no warning. Wood, with the grain direction horizontal, is the the finest, it gives enough to let a person know it is overloaded. I just care enough to be pickie on this topic, and lost one friend to it. JimN

I have used the SOLID type concrete blocks as they seem pretty stable.

Allan, if the spirit moves you to get wood blocks, the simplest way I have found is to go to a sawmill and get them to saw a short log into as large a square piece of lumber as it will make, then you can saw it into whatever lengths you want. 8 inches square is probably as large as those little trees out there will make, and that should be large enough.

Naw,

I think this is a silly conversation.

I'm gonna paint a cab and put it back on a tractor. :>)

Silly conversation? I dont think so. Just someone that does not take advice. I had the same thing happen to me, it collapsed. I dont think it will break under that cab, but it is dangerous in heavier situations

Can't argue that point 'cause I'm as bull-headed as they come.

Although, I can tell you that I didn't just fall off of a turnip truck last night, have been around the block a few times and I could just give a fig less if that silly cab falls off those blocks. I don't care; let it fall.

It is just not on my list of things to worry about today. :>)

Sounds arrogant, just friendly advice(I always thought it was a load a hay that someone fell off of specially in Nebraska) If you dont like advice..dont always ask for it. You said one time if people give you advice, just do the opposite.

Sure didn't mean to come off sounding arrogant. That wasn't my intent in any way whatsoever.

Yeah Gary you better stay away from here ol' Allan's getting all arrogant, stubborn, bull headed and I'm afraid of what's next. I'm not sure you're not part of this problem, it is your tractor you know. See what you started. This is funny, wow I guess that holiday is over.LOL. Jim

Oh Allans alright.

He's probably smiling and no one knows it.

That's the bad part about the discussion here you can't see there facial expression when they are typing.

That expression on the face gives a comment a whole other meaning sometimes.

By the way I really was trying to post a new subject and it would not go thru.

Had to reboot the computer before it would go.
