Just thought I'd let you know Allan that the loader brackets will be here Thursday or Friday.

So can I get that tractor about Wednesday?

You'll be done with it right?

Fenders, platform, steps and cab off ready to go right.

Gary

It's the wrong time of year to take the loader of the cab tractor isn't it? I'm putting a Case 510 loader off a 5130 on one of our 1066's but I've got to build the mounts to make it work.

Oh yeah the loader stays on the cab till spring.

But will go on the 1066 then and stay till fall.

I use that 1086 for spraying and that ties up a tractor for about 3 to 4 months here.

Got tired of loader off in the morning to spray and then loader on to put away bales in the afternoon.

I hear you on wanting to have a dedicated sprayer tractor. This year our 1086 went on the sprayer prior to planting and it wasn't unhooked untill it was needed to haul grain in September. Our current sprayer was new in May of '05 and it's got just over 8,600 acres on it so far so it's saving us enough money to justify having a tractor tied up most of the year.

Wednesday?

I'd like to have both tractors converted over and done by Wednesday.

Yours should be pretty darned close to being finished up and ready to roll by sundown tonight. That's the so-called "plan" anyhoo. :>)

Mornin' Jim,

I have one heck of a time trying to sleep; think I'm one of those "insomniac" types or something. :>(

Just curious, which one of you gets to drive that tractor all the way to Iowa?

Mornin' Rusty,

Don't know yet how we're going to pull that one off.

The closest loading dock is 10 miles away. I think this brute is far too big and heavy even for my little trailer to get it that far.

All I know is that it's Gary's turn to buy the coffee and since it is the dead of winter, perhaps he should drive it. :>)

Told Allan that I'd buy the fuel if he drove it to the state line and I would meet him there but he said I'd have to pay for the coffee also and I said no way.
