I have a 51 farmall H. Trying to change the grille screen. Thought it would be easy but looks like the clips that hold it are spot welded. How do I remove them without causing more damage? Where can I get new clips to hold the new screen in place? Any suggestions? Thanks.

I Have Changed A Couple Of Them, Try To Break The Spot Weld Loose, If You Can't And It Breaks Clip Off, I Just Put Some Weight On It From Behind And Put A Gob Of J B Weld On It. Gene

the clips are meant to bend over and crimp the wire mesh. I brazed some new ones on that i broke off. easy.

Thanks for the info. I think my clips are welded on both sides. Maybe I can grind one end loose. Now I know where to get new clips and screen but I think removing the old screen is going to be the big problem.
