Has anyone used 330U to launch 8000 lb boat on double axle trailer on 25-degree ramp. Are there are any problems for using this tractor for this purpose? Any modifications needed to tractor for such use?

At one of the marinas on Lake Pepin, MN they use W-9 Internationals to launch large speed boats...but the ramp is not that steep. Proceed with caution and add weights to the front and back tires (for steering and traction...)

Buy yourself a used 3/4 or 1 ton 4wd pickup for about $1000 bucks and use that. Can get a nice one pretty cheap with an automatic transmisson that will pull like crazy. Just make sure the emergency brake is working good and you will be a happy camper. Use the tractors for pulling wagons and parades.

I drove a 40U (same size as them 330U) for years, and have trailer/launched boats.

This is NOT a workable combination.

Find a driveway with a decent slope - wet it down - and watch that trailer pull the 330U backwards with the tires locked!

I have a H that I got from a man that lived On KY lake that used it to launch his fishing boat. It has the best brakes I have ever had on a tractor Ken B

If you get the brakes wet on that (IH?) 330 you'll give her a good drink. There is a story for another time of my 300U getting a good swim in the pond.

Sounds to me like the tractor is going to get a big bath. If it was mine I would not chance doing that.
