The oil coolers have had rebuilts put on them if they are not red. They make a real oily mess of radiator when they blow.

That offset on the air cleaner looks wicked, don't see how it can breathe at all!! I was told that you NEVER have a square corner in the intake, causes lots of turbulance and restricts air flow. Other than that, looks pretty good. Let some air out of the tires and grease top of cab and door frame and take a run at it. Merry Christmas to all, Chris

How much height would I loose if I flattened the tires? They are 18.4 X 38s. With all that weight on the tractor, she oughta drop like a rock you'd think.

I just gotta get this thing inside.

I'm not worried about hurting the tires and tubes by running on 'em flat; heck, they aren't mine anyway. He, he

If you don't mind me asking....what needs fixing on the old 1066 ?? I was talking to a old fella the other day who sold IH's back in the day. He told me he thought the 1066 was the most under rated tractor ever made. He told me when they first came out they where rated at 115 H.P. He said they hooked a new one, when he first got one in onto a dino.... 130+ stock.

PJ,

Gary and I are doing a little cosmetic surgery on the old sis, is all.

Coming off the highway up into this area where I live is a VERY, VERY steep hill and I just pulled this tractor in from the farm this afternoon.

I cannot believe the smoke this ol gal has. I think this one has been turned up for darned sure. :>)

I've got big problems.

Been fighting this thing all day long and just cannot get it to fit in thru that door.

Too cold outside to work; got any idea how I can get it in the shop? :>)

Hey Allen, got a sawsall? My father in law had to cut an 8" notch out of the front of his barn to get his tractor in. If you new my father in law though he would rather jury rig something than fix it right. Even if it cost more to cobble it up.

There's gotta be a way. Maybe I'll flatten the tires and see if I can sneak it in there.

Nice and warm in the shop; I'm old and spoiled. :>)

Give it heck in reverse.

The way I size it up every thing I want will fit thru the door.

Remove the muffler first and I don't care about the ugly precleaner.

Did anyone ever notice that those oil coolers always turn yellow?

Is that the primer color they used?

Darned if I know.

I always thought the "off" colored ones was an indication that they had been replaced. Mine is a blue/grey color; yes, kinda like primer.

Wait for a chinook, LOL.

Sympathies on the cold weather. Warm and rainy here. Rain forecast for Christmas day.
