my brother in-law bough a bunch of wrenches at a sale, didn't pay more then $5 each for them.. didn't know they had ford on them at the time, till he scraped away some of the grease.. but they look to be pretty darn old.. I would say at least 75-80 years old... I will try to get a picture later.. but what do you think they could be worth? I didn't know ford made tools. THANKS! Tim Shultz

Look on ebay, and see what they are selling for... there's almost always a bunch of various types up for auction.

I have a small collection of old wrenches. I look for them at flea markets, tractor shows, car shows, etc. Ford wrenches are pretty common, but a nice souvenier.

Old Henry had a tool kit in each and every Ford car sold about as many after market wrenchs not marked Ford, but looked just like the tools kits tools. Train loads were made of the car script wrenches. The adjustable tractor wrenchs in very good condition are worth having.

I buy and sell some old tools, old adv. signs, etc. as a hobby. I have sold dozens of the old Ford wrenches through the years, I normally get from 8 to 12 dollars each for them...

Yes, there are a number of Ford-script wrenches, and anything authentic is a collectors item, not worth their weight in gold or anything, but lots of people are looking for them. Should be a bunch on EBay; use the "completed listings" to see what sold for how much and what didn't sell, and there're proably more listed on the Model T/A etc sites. ALSO a lot of the aftermarket Ford tools that had names stamped on like "Fix-A-Ford"; if it mentions Ford some collector wants it. Good luck.

I don't know if Ford made the wrenches or not, but a full set of tools was included with every Model T, Model A, and I'm pretty sure the Fordson tractor also came with a set of tools. The earlier IH tractors also came with a set of tools, and had the IH or IHC logo on them. Most likely John Deere and others also included a tool set.

If I'm not mistak'in years ago vehicles came from the manufacturer with tool kits. I have a Ford wrench in my tool box. It is a real monkey wrench. Looks like a pipe wrench without the teeth on the jaws and has the ford script on the handle. As to value don't have the slightest. Just glad to have something in good condition from a long gone era.

Regards, Pete
