What brand of tractor(from the 70"s) do you think is the easiest to fix?

I see three issues in answering this question:
1. Availability of parts. Without a doubt John Deere, International and Ford are easiest to find parts for at a reasonable price. 2. What kind of tractor do you like best? In other words, what color bug do you have? Follow your heart to a degree.
3. What kind of local expertise do you have nearby. If a particular dealer, local mechanic, relative, best friend, etc. loves and knows a particular tractor, you might lean in his direction as you will need help from someone who actually knows something about tractors.
Have a great time. we do, and you can see by this discussion, there all knids of people fixing up all kinds of tractors.

pete: Very good advice, the expertise around you much more important than the tractor.

Thank you, Sir. I don't know how I could have finished a couple of projects without the friends I have found in this hobby.
