got my 4yr old son's tractor done just in time for christmas. i had a identical one when i was a kid. my dad threw mine in the garbage when i was a teenager. man was i mad. i had been looking for one of theese for awile and found this on ebay. i was the only bidder and got this for $50 and the lady only lived 3 miles away from me. this was made by ertl back in the 70's. i ordered a new seat, decals, and bolt kit from dakota toys, and got the paint from tractor supply. i have about another $50 in parts on it. this has been my secret project in the garage. my wife dosent even know that i bought this. i got it all boxed up, wraped, and put away early sunday morning. now i just have to wrestle this big ol box in the house come christmas eve.

B-E-A-UTIFUL! My dad restored an old pedal tractor for me back when I was younger. That might be the best gift I've ever been given. I remember him taking forever to finish it, but I made up for that by riding on it for hours each day. Thanks for sharing.

Great job Perry! I would guess a 4-year old won't apprieciate all the work and sentimental signficance of this gift; at least not till he is older.

Buy I bet your wife will, and we sure do! Thanks for sharing.

Perry, NICE JOB!! But should'nt something that big have duals and 2-3 remotes? Seriously, that's a priceless gift for your son, I'd say that memory will last a lifetime and you can't buy that on Ebay.

i got in the garage about 5am the past few sunday mornings. then had it hidden untill i got back to it. i also locked the entry door and key pad for the door opener when i was at work{ the garage is my domain}. when it comes to christmas time my wife is as bad as a kid about snooping around.

Perry

You did good.

Those in that condition will usually fetch more money than $50.

Good job of refurbishing also.

Gary

And all he wanted was that laughing Elmo.

Sounds like it's "your" christmas present.

Better let santa get him something he saw on TV.
