I have some old (1993) copies of Miliary Vehicles magazine and one of their books. Their address was P. O. Box 1748, Union NJ 07083.

I think this was pre-web but they may now have a site?

Go by a magazine store looking for a military vehicles magazine. Forget the name of it but I saw lots them in those when looking once for parts for 6x6s we use for fire trucks now. Maybe some links to it at these also?

Do you know of any military collectors in your area? Sometimes they have connections. I do military restorations for a local collector and he gets ideas for locations of parts and vehicles from his little 'network' of friends. I did a restoration on a halftrack about ten years ago and I know there were a few in Nebraska then because of the military base in Omaha. Most of the half tracks were made by White motors but a few rare ones were made by Diamond T and Autocar and then another version was made by IHC. There's a big military surplus store in Idaho Falls that did have a half track on display (just for display purposes) in the store, a year ago. Maybe someone there might know of someone who knows someone who----- well, you know! I believe their website is armysurpluswarehouse.com Jim

thanks for the replys. i know a few halftrack collectors around here and and ive been to most of the websites but ive had the most luck talking to tractor collectors because in there search for old tractors they will run across them more than anyone.i have 14 sitting in my yard now ,presently im working on restoring a white m16 halftrack.all the halftracks ive picked up are missing the rear armor and used as flatbeds or boom trucks. thanks steelworkss@aol.com
