Well finally,

UPS man just left off the somewhat rare and elusive evaporator tray for my 1066. Now, I think I have all the parts I need to put the old rascal back together.

Also tested that darned condenser core with 150 lbs of air and it seems to hold so think we are just about good to go.

Gotta hurry up; long, hot summer is coming. :>)

Yep,

Nothin' but blisters, gouges, blood and just plain achy hands. But ya know, I think the silly thing is gonna work! :>)

My only problem now that I can see, is finding a day warm enough to let the temp switch kick in so that I can load the dude with freon and test it. :>)

We'd better be careful here.

That darned Gary is young and a pretty good sized feller. I know I can't whip 'im. :>)

If that's the condensor core you had to straighten the fins on you did a good job. Oh, the chinook arrived here in the SE. Supposed to be 70 tomorrow, national weather map shows you warm also.

Naw,

That was the little evap core, which makes the cold air. Here's the two together.

That big devil is what takes the heat away and it mounts outside behind the cab in that ugly "box" affair with the two fans/motors.

Evening Allan

Didn't know UPS would deliever that far outin the middle of nowhere.

I though they used pony express and carrier pidgeons out there. (:~})

Condenser is looking even better than a used one know.

Or is that one off of my tractor?

That's the evaporator in the picture; it mounts up in front of the heater core and makes the cold. It wasn't all that bad to start with and combed out pretty darned good.

The condenser is the big, heavy core I've been straightening the fins on (goes in the box behind the cab) and I was worried if it would leak. Put the air to 'er and so far she holds air.

'Course, it hasn't got 300 lbs of hot freon in it yet either. :>)

OK, condenser is looking better also. My recent unhappy airconitioner failures were hose failures, not condenser failure, so maybe yours will stay together.
I found a good ac shop to make up hoses,so I have all new ones now.

Yeah,

In tractors, hoses are usually the weak point since said tractors don't run down the road and crash into each other. :>)
