Hi Gang;
This is one of the last David Brown tractors to be built in the original factory at Meltham Mills in Yorkshire. A late model featuring the Case decal after Case bought David Brown Tractors.
This is the 996, 4 cyl diesel 60HP gross.
The 990 range first introduced in the early 1960's were the most popular tractors in the DB range and well thought of by British farmers.
The safety cab used by DB though was not popular due to the narrowness of the cab doors.
Cheers David

One thing I really like about the 990's is the 2 piece bellhousing..put a clutch in my BIL's a couple months ago..that split bellhousing sure makes it easy to see what you are doing.. thanks for the pic..

Tim

I'l bet the cab is great once you contort yourself to get into it. That door can't be more than a foot wide. That, coupled with al of the pedals, steering wheel and such.

Very interesting. I've never seen a David Brown with a cab. Looking at the pic, I can see why the cabs were not too popular.
