RF, awhile back you responded to my post asking about the Dodge 2500 manual 6 speed transmission behind a 5.9 Cummins diesel. It is a NV5600 and from another site, I find it's the same transmission GM uses in some of their newer trucks (maybe the ones you have and like). I bought the truck and so far, seems like a good match. I haven't burned a tank yet but looks like milage may be excellent.

dieseltruckresource.com covers about any dodge diesel problem you will encounter. lots of info there. i have a 2000 3500 5 spd with edge comp. so far so good.

George, I really don't know which transmission mine has, just that it is the 6 spd. manual. The operators manual cautions about using the 6th gear while loaded, but I use it anyhow. The truck is now approaching 50,000 miles and I have had no trouble at all with the trans.
