Seems as if everybody wants to know what something is worth. How does anybody know the answer to that? It'll bring whatever somebody is willing to pay for it...really!More than likely worthless to many, priceless to some.

So what's a quarter worth? 25 cents!

Just read recently that both pennies and nickles cost more to mint than the value that they represent. Maybe it's the same for quarters. Another FYI, every $1.00 bill printed eventually generates $11.00 in tax revenue. Pretty good return on investment.

Might depend on what you find you under it?

Any pre-1964 US Quarter (90% Silver) is worth over 2 dollars, at the present price of silver.

Is it a "barn fresh" quarter? Or maybe a "restored" quarter? Factory colors?

Lots of variables to decide how much that there quarter is worth...

Between eBay and the Antique Roadshow, everyone that has something to sell to me knows exactly what "it is worth".
Offer someone a fair price, and their first reply is: "Well, I saw something the same color, or the same size on the net or TV...and it's worth big$$$$$".

By the way...Quarters are only worth about "two bits"...maybe less.☺

PS: I'll agree with Allan on "quarter-horses". Buy one for big money and you'll find out it's worth about 1/4 of what you payed.☺

Latest memo I read from management states that it is perhaps about time to get in the donkey business.

Pretty sure I'll be completely nuts and looney-tune 'fore this year is out. :>(

Getting into the donkey business when you're already in the horse business reminds me of a warning from an old gent one time- "Best thing to do when you find you are in a hole is to stop diggin'".

Went to a coin show once..they had some quarters there that they though were worth a lot more than I did.....same thing applies to some tractors.

Maybe you should get her a couple of those electric breeds. Just drop a quarter in the slot and take a ride.

Depends on the age of the quarter and how good of shape it is in.
