Oh Man!

Now, I'm starting to feel a bit quieezy in the midsection and this is getting to the point of not even being funny anymore. Far beyond the duty and normal requirements of "old tractor fixer uppers". :>(

Does anyone have a drip tray out of a 66 series IH cab? Or, have I got to build one out of sheet stock? Can't buy 'em anymore; too darned old is the story I get.

Somebody gave this one a pitch also. Geeze! Would have been a heck of a lot easier to yank the darned cab off altogether and throw it in the weeds! :>(

What are the dimensions? I may have a sheet of .040 aluminum that I can brake for you.

Email is open.

Whatever it costs, it probably wouldn't cover the interest on the loan for a new one. Take a break from it, you won't need the AC for a few days yet anyways...

DON'T give up now! You came this far so finish the job. Next summer when your working in comfort and it's 100 degrees out side, you'll have a whole different perspective.

I dunno Don,

A guy can usually pick those big darlin's up for not too bad a price in fair running condition.

This one has a spun bearing so there's a $1K crank starin' ya in the face plus the cost of an overhaul.

That puts ya at an easy $8K and still don't know about the rest of the tractor.

Is it close to you? Dunno, ya might do alright on it.

Allan

Give it a rest, walk away for a few hours / days then come back to it. Go price a green machine like the neighbor loaned you. That should give you incentive. Would work on me.
