I just picked up a nice 4rn JD 7200 corn planter at an auction last week. It didn't have a monitor with it though. Whats your guys opinions on it. Should I go through the dealer about it or should I just pick one up out of one of the parts catalouges. I love John Deere but by golly sometimes their prices on little parts and stuff from the dealer blows my mind. Thanks.

Morning Zach

At one time Dickey John was making the monitors for JD. They still may be doing it,I don't know.

Dickey John was the first to make a monitor and JD bought it from them.

With that being said I would not think twice about buying a monitor from someone besides JD.

I would do it.

Gary
