Well we got about 10 inches of snow on top of 4-6 inches of ice/sleet. All I could do to get out today and the one snow plow tractor will run but NO traction and the other one wouldn't fire up so I'm in just long enough to say hi and then back out to see if I can get the old Ford841 to fire up

Nope didn't loose it but a lot of people around the area did. I'm sure glad I didn't since I heat with electirc and my genny set up isn't big enough to run the furnace

Its 59 degrees in syracuse ny, a minute ago it was raining and thundering, you figure it out. I spent a couple of years in Warrensburg Mo during the sixties, awful ice storms back then.

Lou

Were you stationed at Whitman AFB by any chance?

I was there from Jan 64 thur Jan 68. Whitman was a Minuteman Missile base then. Missiles are all gone and it is home for B1 bomber now.

Yes the winter weather comes with a vengance there sometimes. But never stuck around very long.

Seems like, that in addition to not having any snow to speak of, some of them folks up in Iowa have even had indoor plumbing for years... Maybe if their boy Vilsack becomes president, we'll all be living the good life.

That's what you get for living way down there in Missouri. You need to move up here to Iowa. Currently 30 degrees, bright sunshine, and the ground is dry and bare. LOL

or you could move up to northeast wisconsin where it is 26 deg.F and about an inch of the white stuff on the ground. Just enough to get into the spirit of the holidays.
