They (NYS-us) will pay $600 or 70% which ever is less for roll bar, roll bar with canopy or cab. Dealer installed or self installed. They will call the dealer and get estimates and pay the dealer directly, owner pays the balance.
According to the Deere dealer for a 4230, two point roll bar is $775. Canopy for roll bar $1100. Sound Gard Body (used) $4000. Installation extra.

Exactly why I left the east coast after 30 years of living there (native New Yorker). I guess ole HIllrod and the other LIBS have so much of your money they can give away ROPS now. Whats next Free pots to p*ss in.

Deere doesn't want much for a couple pieces of steel do they. I though they were supposed to be selling these things at cost.

The price of steel has gone up. When I bought a ROPS for my 4020 a few years ago, the JD price was $475 and the aftermarket prices for any ROPS even for a much smaller tractor started at $1400. I bet they are over $2400 now.

I don't think the roll bar is too bad. It has to be a pretty stout piece of steel to support a 5 ton tractor. The canopy seems a bit pricey but I haven't seen it.

That amazes me that they will do that.

Especially in NYS.

Better get that canopy now!
