I'm currently building a levelling arm for my tractor's 3-PTH using some threaded rod. I was wondering if the arm only has to move up or down from the level position or if it should have equal travel in both directions. Just wanna make sure I get this right before I cut any threaded rod. The previous owner welded the original levelling arm solid in the level position because he was using a cultivator but this doesn't work when you have to set a plow. Thanks to all in advance, its much appreciated

Think I would want it to go about equal amount both ways. Never know what you might need..like a blade at an angle some day.

This is correct. I made mine one way and although its not the end of the world, its a pain to get adjusted when using my blade.
