I'm looking at sealing some threads that are in constant contact with gasoline.

What is a good thread sealant or gasket compound that gas won't disolve over time?

If this happens to be a fuel bowl ? I like permatex I think #1 the hardening type so you can get that fuel bowl lined up where it needs to be without overtightening it. The sealer will harden and hold it there if it is not as tight as you would like where you want it at. Other stuff I use the #2 non-hardening type.

One or more of the vintage Permatex seals.

Sealall.

Rectorseal #5, also found in the plumbing department of home centers.

Check a plumbing store.. there is usually a yellow paste that is ok for gas/oil/lp gas/steam lines and mild acids.

Check with your local auto parts store. they sell a gasoline resistant teflon tape. I believe it is yellow colored.
