Gentleman,

I own a 1967 Ford 3400 tractor. I think the brakes are original and are starting to get so weak they won't stop the tractor. I've performed brake jobs on cars before, but never on a tractor. Can a DIYer tackle this job? My first question would be on how to remove the drum? Any advise would be appreciated. Tom

Very straight forward deal a ten year old could it if he was strong enough. If you ever done a drum type brake job you can do this. be sure to make sure that your axle seals aren't leaking and or replace them, otherwise your just wastin your time.
