I have a JD 70D I pull in the 7500 & 8500 classes it does great in the 7500 class but needs a bit more power in the 8500. Does anyone have any suggestion on a few more cheap Horses. Have the rack at 13 and a K&N filter, everything else on engine is stock.

Is this a stock class or is modification allowed? I pull in stickly stock with my Allis and do real well in the 7,500# and 8,500# classes. Just weight it right (a good guess) and play the throttle up and down when the front end gets light. I have never powered out though.

720/730 cylinder heads flow more. A three angle valve job, valve blowl blending and port matching will improve any head. Check the part number, there maybe a 720/730 head on there already. A cam from Robert's Carburator will increase airflow. More fuel is easy, more air to burn the extra fuel is the tricky part. I assume this is a rowcrop with tall tires?

Thanks for the reply Buickanddeere, yes it is a row crop with 18.4 x 38 rubber I tried some 30" rubber and had more power to the ground but no grip,I may try a performance cam and some 6-.010 injector tips. Thanks again

Add a little propane to the intake sure would make an old Cummings bark.
