My awesome wife, she's really one in a million, my kids . My true freinds. My parents, aunts and uncles, that guided me through life with values and the bible. My previous employer for paying me well which allowed me to buy this farm and sorta retire at 34. A good deer season. My Elder freinds for sharing all their "back in the day" knowledge. Most of all I am thnak full to God for everything he has giving me in life, as well as what he hasnt giving me , making me thicker skinned and learning that life is what you make it, not what you wait to have handed to you. How bout the rest of ya?

I GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD EVERY DAY, NOT JUST A DAY CALLED THANKSGIVING, AND I THANK HIM FOR EVERY THING BAD AND GOOD, CAUSE HE USES EVERY THING IN MY LIFE FOR MY TEACHING AND TESTING. BUT MOST OF ALL I THANK HIM FOR MY SALVATION...

Gents,

In addition to being thankful to God for giving me more than I deserve, I have to say that as I approach the end of my 10th month in Iraq (this tour), I am thankful for the American farmer that feeds and clothes the world. I grew up on an old Farmall or two and look forward to the day that I can get back on one. Thanks for what you do. No one does it better.

Let's not forget the brave men and women that are spending the holiday's away from home so that we can have the freedom in this great country that many take for granted. Also the vet's that preceeded them.

Thankful for no terrorist attacks, thankful for gas going down to $2.25/gall., thankful for my health and my familys health, thankful for much. Tell us how did you sorta retire at 34, fill us in here. You musta had a nice payoff or something.

Had a stressfull fast paced management job and was well taken care of with a high salary and good bonuses(but not always). I saved and saved. Sold the old home for twice what I purchased it after 6 years. Bought this place with just a bit smaller income. went from 14 hour days of constant stress to 3-5 hour days of caring for chickens and trying to get the best production as possible. I hunt when I want, I fish when i want, I am with my family 10 times as much as before. To me I sorta retired. Good salary led to great 401K savings that should be sitting real good in 25 years. Should have this place payed off in 8. Help my neighbors whenever they need it. But it could all go south in an instance, so I am thankfull for everything.

Im thankful for my grandaughters brick. All the kids in her class had to make a brick. Now shes not an A student, she struggles pretty hard to get Bs and Cs.Her dad works in a body shop and knew where clay was in the stream. Most kids used dirt. The bricks had to pass three tests strike, try to snap in half and crush. Her clay brick passed all while every other kids failed mostly because of being just dirt.In fact hers was the only one that didnt crumble.Im actually thankful for alot but thats what Im happy about today.

Thanksgiving up here is the second week of October and if you look outside here this morning you'll know why. It's snowing like the dickens and is pretty chilly, cold even. Anyways, have a nice day off from the regular routine, I can smell that turkey cooking from way up here.

Morning Dave; Me too to all you said, I have a once in a lifetime wife, and a good life because of her. I thank God for the kids and grandkids, our and their health. Wife's ankle is on the mend, will be a couple weeks before they put a walking cast so I get to care for her for a change. Turkey on the counter, breads and deserts made yesterday, will make fresh cranberry sauce etc soon as I get off here. Have a great day and dont forget to include those who serve, police, firemen, military and many more. Bob
