Loosing my mind!!

If any one finds a brain running around, please send if home. Was standing at the bench putting a new bolt in a pair of snips, used a 7/16 wrench to tighten it up .Laid wrench down and 1 minute later I looked for the wrench and couldn't find it. Looked in tool box and all around bench and can't find it. Bot a new handle for dirt shovel, asked for an extra rivet for handle because mine had 2 hole for rivets. They gave me 2, one taped to handle and one in my pocket. Came home and put rivet up for safe keeping till I was ready to put in handle, now I can't find it. This is starting to get old!!! Chris

Sounds all too familiar! Remember the elastic straps that ran through your sleeves so you wouldn't lose your mittens? OK, it's been a few years....but wouldn't they hold wrenches?

Buy a new part to replace the lost one and lost one will be found in plain site.

What's news here? I thought that happened to everyone all the time. You mean that there are people who don't lay tools down and can't find them a minute later? Am I that bad off? The worst I ever had was when I was looking for the 9/16 wrench that I had just used. Spent 10 minutes looking for it until I found it in my left hand. I really think it is a short walk to the looney bin for me.

Here 'ya go Chris, I found the wrench. It was on your coffee table, no idea how it got there. Your on your own with the rivet, I'm not digging around in your dirty clothes. Check the bottom of the washing machine next time you do clothes.

I do that all the time and if I can"t find it in a few days I have the Wife come out and she walks right up to it. Also works for parts.

Other thing that works is to stop looking for it, especially when I drop something.
