I don't supose any of you guys have a plan for making a wing for a pick-up? it would be going on a 2004 F-450.. I need one that can just bolt onto the bed, so that it can be removed when needed... THANKS! Tim Shultz

Yeah, I put a wing on my old F-150 a while back. Daughter jumps in for a milk run before I got it adjusted. She took right off. Every now and again she buzzes the farm, yellin somethin out the window. Wish I knew when the h*ll she was gonna land that thing. I got work to do!

I adapted an old Wing from off a Ford Semi Tractor,[ex Roadway], to a Head Ache Rack on my Pickup Truck[F250]. One trip down the Road with that thing sticking up in the Air I decided that it was not very effective. Slowed my Truck down drastically. Yes it was laid back to deflect the Air.Then I hooked up my Jayco 5th wheel trailer and tried that. Decided that it was not effective at all, took it off.

Are you talking snow wing? Sounds like you would have to keep it short otherwise it would push you around in deep snow.

Tim, I saw a rig the other day that had the wing mounted right on the gooseneck of the trailer. It looked good, but I don't know how effective it was.

I made one in the spring last year. I took some 2024-0, made some forming blocks, and made some gussets. Then heat treated to 2024t3, rolled some more 2024t3 sheeting to fit over the top and riveted together. made a frame that fit in the stake body cut outs and is adjustable so so can lift it up higher or lower and has pip pins so you can adjusted the angle. Polished it out and the frame is the same color as the truck.
