I accidentally posted this in the MF forum. Meant to go here.

Anyone else notice that your Autozone receipts are fading completely within two weeks? It faded before the wife could balance the bank account. I have noticed that the Advance receipts are yellowing and fading within a year, but this new AZ receipt is ridiculous...
Gonna hafta scan em when I get home.

Aaron

Aaron, Most all receipt are of this disapearing ink kind now. When you first get home, one needs to make a copy ASAP! that day. or you will not be able to read it when you need to return, or warrenty it.
A Word to the Wise!
later,
John A.

I think it's like one of the other posts suggested, it's the new junk their using for the thermo printed reciepts. I've got to keep all my fuel reciepts for the quartly fuel tax paperwork I have to do. I've gotten to where I automatically write down all the details, in ballpoint pen, on the top or bottom of the reciept so it'll still be there when report time comes. In the end it's just like everything else, NOTHING is made to last anymore..... .

We call them dissappearing ink. That's how they can offer lifetime warranty on everything, you need your receipt but then can't read it. Catch 22 LOL

Aloha, Yes, I noticed that years ago when they came out with the thermo paper. It works when heat is applied from the printing mechanism of the cash register. Yes, it would be a good idea to make a copy and don"t leave it where there are fluorescent lights (somehow it seems to fade it faster). He,he, now I can just see when the exchange of the item says, need receipt. LOL

Mahalo,
