Hello again. Does anyone know if the paper type belt pulleys can be repaired, how they were made, why paper instead of steel. Or any web sites related to these old pulleys.
Bill

Seems to me that there's a company in Columbia, TN that manufacturers paper pulleys. I'll look thru some old magazines in the morning and see if I can find their ad. Jim.

I can tell you that Paper Pulleys Inc. does great work, very reasonable priced and very friendly to deal with. Sent the hub for a pulley off a Case threshing machine to them with specs and had the pulley back within a couple of weeks. Very good workmanship.

Paper had more traction for the belt. If the paper is still solid I paint them with clear shellac

The link below is for a site that will redo your pulley. I have personally never done business with them, but I have heard great things about them. I will be sending them a pulley off my Cockshutt this next summer.

I used Paper Pulleys for the one off my JD MC and they do excellent work and are very reasonable. This was from Canada.
