Kind of looking at a hauler would like your input please. It is a 7.3 Liter 190 hp with automatic.

466 is a good engine but if you are in a hurry not the one you want Top speed on the econo model is about 62 MPH with no power on the hills when you start up a grade .

Kind of underpowered. Go for a DT466 with a 6+1 transmission, then you'll have something. A 7.3 is good in a Ford pick-up, but not enough for a 4700 if you are going to pull anything of serious weight.

I think you wil be a lot happier with a DT466 or DT530, it's a wet sleeve engine and can be rebuilt where the 444 is a throw-away engine.

I use to run 444E's in my school busses (never the 190, always opted for the higher hp), ran good. I perfer them to the 466. Spec'd the 466 just didn't seem to have the same snuff
