Just kinda wondering, whats the biggest rim you can put a 7.50-16 on? Reason being, we have 10.00 16's on our 285 right now, they don't have much life left, and new ones cost about $110, where as I have 2 old ones I took off my 1600 when I put new rubber all the way around during the restoration.

I'm not sure what size rim is on the front right now but I think it's a little narrrower than recommended for a 10.00. It used to have 11L-15's on (I think that's what they were) before my dad traded tirews with another farmer who wanted those and my dad wanted his (don't ask) If they'll fit, I think we'll just go to those instead of shelling out an arm & a leg for new rubber when they do finally go...

Tires narrower than the rims take a massive effort to seat the bead if tubeless. if tube type, they will work somewhat. If the rims are 6" between the bead seat walls, they should be fine. the sidewalls will be more vertical and it may be a bit rougher on bumps from less flex in the sidewall, but they will work OK.
