Im looking at an Old Oliver Hart Parr. Im guessing early 30's. It is pretty rough. No cover over the exhaust. The only good thing is it is complete. I cant decide if I should keep it, Put it on ebay, part it out, or run away. It is only 2 blocks from my shop. If you email me I can send larger photos or you may be able to blow these up.
Give me your opinion.

Thanks Guys. I think Ill drag it home. I can buy it for under $100. I may end up reselling it Soon. I dont really want to mess with the engine unless Im wrong about the horrors Im going to find. I may pull the head and go from there.

Steve, what you have is a 1934-1937 18-27 Oliver/Hart-Parr Row Crop. I can tell the years by the large Oliver and small Hart Parr, from 1930-1934 the Hart Parr was in big letters and Oliver in small letters. The 18-28 is the same engine but only in a standard wide front end model

Gotta admit that I'm wrong. It is an 18-27.

Me again. I just took a look at more of the pictures and noticed that on the side of the block, it says Hart-Parr. That more than likely would make it an 18-28. As I said before, look at the plate on the block, it will tell you.

Forgot to add that if you are going to part it out, let me know. I know of a guy who needs some parts. I would rather see it restored.

It's not an 18-27. It is either an 18-28 or an 80. I would say an 80. I have two of them. The 18-27 had a completely different front end. Look at the tag on the engine, it will tell you what it is.

Steve, that looks like an 18-27 to me. The fronts look like cut offs of some kind. I like them old ones but there seems to be a few of those left, so they don't always bring the highest prices. Sure looks like it's worth saving though!

Good luck Larry Coltrin
