Just bought an Internationa model 3444 diesel frontloader and the wiring is all messed up. Have installed new glow plugs and do not know how to connect them. Cannot connect 12v direct as that burns them out immediately. If anyone knows how to connect the glow plugs and/ or has a wiring diagram please contact me.
Thanks,
Lee Browning

Each glow plug, when you look closely, has 2 terminals, insulated from each other, and from the screw-in shell (ground).

The glow plugs are wired up in SERIES.

Power is applied to the BACK (#4) glow plug. It's other terminal gets jumpered ahead to one of the terminals on #3. #3's other terminal gets jumpered to #2, etc., with the last of the terminals on #1 being connected to the block, (GROUND).

Bob,
Thanks,
That is what I figured and have them wired that way, in series. I wanted to get confirmation before I connected the power.
Again, many thanks,
Lee

You also have the dash-mounted glow resistor thingy in the circuit, right?

No,
The wiring on the tractor was really messed up and none of the gauges worked. I installed new gauges, starter switch, alternator and a bunch of other stuff. Any bulbs that were there are gone. Do you have a wiring diagram?
Thanks,
Lee
