OK I assume I did something inadvertantly to erase all my bookmarks in Mozilla. After reading some on the Kim Komando page I learned how to backup my bookmarks and also how to import bookmarks from the backup file to Mozilla or import bookmarks from IE to Mozilla. I had a lot of the same bookmarks in IE but not as well organized but I imported them and at least have them. Lost a lot of sites that people on here gave for reference. Hope I can find them. Does anyone know what I could have done to lose all those bookmarks. I don't want to do it again. Thanks.
Phil

When you delete a file within any OS the file actually does not get deleted. What happens is the OS tells the disk that the space is free to be overwritten.

If you search on google for windows undelete you should be to download / install a copy and find your bookmarks. I cannot recommend a version as I do not run windows.

Once you install the software you want to search for bookmark.htm to find your IE bookmarks and search for bookmarks.html to find your Firefox / Mozilla bookmarks.

I personally have been using Mozilla for about 5 years and like it better than Firefox. Firefox does have better support, plug-ins etc. But as they say old habits die hard.

You can also do Start / Search and look for the above two file names. I would start here as this does not require you to install software.

Thanks,

Scott

In your previous post you said you are running XP professional. Go to a System Restore point previous to you when created the folder/problem.
