Ford 850, cuz that's what I own. It's my first and, so far, only working tractor. I have 3 other projects parked around my house, but that's another topic.

Guess it would have to be my Oliver 550- just about the handiest tractor around. Right up there would be a JD 420 I had, and an Oliver 880.

I think the unstyled John Deere D's are the best looking. I Currently have a styled but hope to add an unstyled soon.

Neighbor had an old tractor, 59 I think, had no seat or steering wheel. Seemed perfect. For the poor farmer had lost his a$$ and had nowhere to turn!

Pony start 830 diesel would be my vote. Think I may be biased though. DW

That would be my 1927 Allis Chalmers 20-35. Also like the 70 and 720 Deere's.

Ford 960. Learned to drive on it, pretty much ran the farm for a decade when dad brought it home well used already. Has a lot going for it as to power, options, usefulness. Has a Schwartz wide front.

You want a favorite. Heck they all were good as long as they weren't noisy JD's 8). I am partial to any farmall/International as my grandpa worked for a dealer for several years. I have took a real good liking to my MD as you don't see them around to often. Also like the F20 but would not want to spen all day on one. Also vote for the Case SC. Real good challenge for a Farmall H.

I will have to say my favorite is my AC Model M crawler tractors. Mine were built in the late 30's, and they are like the rabbit they just keep going and going, and never have flats. Plus I have a lot of them, and will enough parts to last my lifetime.

Close enough. 1958 Ford 861 powermaster. Even survived a nasty little fuel fire, with a full tank of gasoline that all burnt. Was able to open hood so most of the heat went up. Rewired to 12v
