50's and 60's rock, esp. the real rockers, like Chuck Berry, Mitch Ryder, Little Richard, the Killer, etc.- also bluegrass and country (Willie Nelson, especially), a Harley going through the gears, and a log skidder with a Detroit.

Bluegrass! Hard drivin" bluegrass! And, Bluegrass Gospel! I pick the 5-string, and manage to get out twice a week or so for jam sessions! Anybody want the web-sites for Bluegrass? Try bluegrass country.org, or Bluegrass radio

I listen mostly to this lite rock deal, mix of oldies and newies, and they dont play the same songs over and over, but my favorite music is the old ,old country songs. Hank Williams is kinda hard to beat there.(SR not Jr) I like bluegrass, but the newer bluegrass is heading more and more to the older country sound. Give me Del McCoury or Ralph Stanley and Im happy!

I'm seriously out-numbered at work, so the local Country station is on all day.

Now, I don't object to Country Music, my problem is that the station "we" listen to only owns 10 records/CDs/whatever. So, an hour into the day, you've heard every song you're gonna hear all day. If I hear "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off" ONE MORE TIME, somebody's gonna die...

My truck only shows any wear on two preset buttons: 60's-80's "Oldies" station, and Classical. I find that the classical tends to calm my tendency towards road rage and inappropriate sign language.

Back in the 1970's there was a great uproar as some believed satanic chants could be heard when spinning a rock and roll vinyl record backwards. I tried the same thing, spinning backwards a Country and Western Song. He got his women, his dog and his job back.

I'm all over the map. I don't listen to disco or rap, though.

My CD collection ranges from Neil Young to Emmylou Harris. Flatlanders to Led Zeppelin. Hot Rize to Stevie Ray Vaughn. David Grisman to Junior Brown. Guy Clark to David Lindley. Plus a few names you guys have never heard of (Cori Connors, Nancy Hansen, Ryan Shupe and the Rubber Band, Darden Smith, Mary Black, Bryan Bowers, Kevin Welch).

Gotta agree on the dragster and the merlin and add the big pratt & whitney rotarys also. Along with those about anything that I can understand the words to and sing along with (when I'm alone) except rap and some of the newer stuff that sounds whiny. Mike

I like a variety

I love to sleep to the sound of crickets and coyotes with an occasional lowing of cattle.

Then there is the sound of a V12, Rolls Royce Merlin that will bring tears to my eyes almost every time.

A steamer making a grade on a cold day could stop my heart.

Grew up on Lynard Skynard and Led Zep. But now that I got a little grey on the roof I like a lot of country but by far my favorite is a Christian rock band Third Day. Rock on!

Plain and simple ---#1. Bluegrass (like the Dillards played on the Andy Griffith show--Hamilton County Breakdown) + The Osbornes( Sonny & Bob Ru--- Beee- Ruby ). #2. Country #3. Southern Gospel----- now I might just have to go turn on the CD player.

A big twin shovelhead harley in a tunnel hauling hard. Followed by a big Cat or Cummins with a Jake slowing down.

Oh, music???? Anything but disco, rap or this boom-da-boom-da-boomboomboom crap the kids all play now that rattles the windows for blocks around. I don't get that. It's illegal to drive here wearing headphones, yet they can ride around with the windows up and their stereos at 100dB. There is no possible way they could ever hear anything outside the car. Could be air horns 6' from the window, they couldn't hear it. They are gonna have an entire generation of stone deaf people come middle age.
