How many on here not only have the real tractors but also some of the toy variety. Apartment living has forced me to take up a collection of toy tractors and semis, and I was just sitting here wondering if anyone else has a toy collection. Pictures of your collection would be neat to see also. Here is some of my collection. Hope you enjoy.
Brad

I might have a couple but mostly they get mixed up with the real tractors.

I would love to have a toy tractor collection, but I am afraid I would have flat tires to fix on them too!

Gary that is very impressive. What part of Iowa are you in. I will be going there for the National Farm Toy Show in early Nov. If you are near there I would be interested in meeting and talking to you.

I have a few, mostly 1/64th stuff. Like you, I don't carpet farm with them, I just happen to enjoy looking at them. I'd love to have some of the 1/16th Precision stuff, but it's way too spendy, and I'd have to ditch some of SWMBO's books to make room...

I have to wonder about some who say there matured --I prefer to leave the toys to my grandkids and play with the real thing. I have to say it's a little cheaper -- but making believe is just not my cup of tea. If that's what makes you happy --- go for it....

Nothing to do with maturity. He has limits. If nothing more it will keep his interest and dreams going until he does get the real things. Better than letting it die.A LOT better than a lot of other alternative "hobbies" some seem to take up.

I also have a 1947 Farmall MD, 1941 Farmall H, and a Farmall 560D. It is to difficult to work on and use my tractors in my apartment complex. I do however have access to a friends dairy farm where I can spend countless hours working on and using my tractors. While I did not say I was over mature, I do not play with them. I have them because it reminds me of my younger days growing up around them and working on them with my grandfather when he was still alive. I had to relocate to a larger city to find work that paid more than $6 per hour and this is the closest I can get to farm at the time. Brad

Brad mentioned he lives in an apartment- makes for a difficult situation with the neighbors if you have the real thing stored in the hallway, under the stairs, etc. I also know of several older fellows who, because of health, have phased out of the full size into the models.
