Bill-In a prior thread you mentioned you have a Brillion 3 shank parabolic plow and pull it pretty deep. What are you using to pull that in terms of HP and two or FWD? What type of ground?
Just curious because I am interested in one myself.
thanks..

I have a DMI 3 shank that is comparable to the Brillion. I pull it with a repowered 1855 Oliver that is 135 hp & that is all it wants to pull some days. The 1st year I do it I am lucky to get down 10-11 inches. It will bring up hunks of ground we call Tombstones around here. The field will look very rough when I get done in fall but will be pretty smooth by spring with the freezing & thawing.
By the 3rd year I am down to the 12-14 inches I want & that is the last I use it unless something compacts the soil. One benefit that this machine has is it will find every stone you have on your farm & you sure don't want to do the whole farm the 1st year.
