My neighbor has one and it just keeps on ticken. Think they have a Perkens engine in them.

My ole 170 is a 76 i think and has been well used and it has never jumped out of gear. the brakes are getting bad and i had to replace the pressure plate and clutch. is a bit cold natured to start. and seems the tank collects quite a bit moisture. i think it is really a 48 hp tractor, hydraulic pump is 18.3 gpm.wished i had another one great tractor.

My HP list doesn't give draw bar/PTO HP just one number so it will get you into the ball park. My list says 54HP. Biggest problem I have ever heard of is them jumping out of gear which could be hard to check if buy at an auction. I don't know if the 170 had that problem but I know the 190 did

They are good tractors and will eventually start jumping out of gear like the 190. Neighbors have 1 and have owned at least 7 of the 190xt's. They have a dairy and the 170 has been used every day for the past 15 years.

I hope to be at that auction. Doesn't seem like many hours on a 1968. Do you know any history on the tractor? Good luck.
