Just heard on the news yesterday where they are converting an ethanol plant in Iowa to take and use the complete / intact corn plant; stalk, ear, husk, leaves.

They claim a 23% gain in ethanol production with this method.

Is there still such a thing as a corn binder??

Well at least your started ours still has some green in it yet maybe in a couple weeks we can start picken . My one buddy bought a grain trailer for behind his Dodge one ton and we can get about 360 bu. in it what would be nice is to have a second one because beleive it or not the littel Dodge with the cummins is faster then my other friend 1600 IH grain truck loaded or empty and can haul just as much weather it is legal or not don't know and realy Don't care.

Its no where close to legal. You'll care if you can't get it stopped when someone in front of you slams on there brakes and state troopers start pulling up.

Well the brakes are excelent and can and will slide the tire loaded so that is not a problem as for the weight carring of the grain trailer that to is not a problem as the axel rating is for 9000 lbs times three the tires are rated at 4500 each so there again not a problem . And do know how much weight ya can take off by tripping the tailgate on the hood of a bears car. Ya know they realy get mad when that happens

On a smaller scale Gary that looks like the way we used to haul it back in the 70's. An 806 and a 300 bu. Stan Hoist wagon and we thought we were getting something done. Course the other guys were pulling two 150 bu. units so I guess we were. That's one sweet looking outfit there. Harley

This is a poor mans semi.

I can haul about 860bu on those two wagons.

Every one else is going to the semi.

I don't have enough to justify that.

Gary

Wouldn't a semi break you up on taxes, liscence and insurance ???? Alot of guys around Ohio are running those JCB tractors up and down the roads and they go FAST !!
