Well Heck!

Darned weather didn't coperate with my plans today. Was gonna go out and scrape up some more hay, but it started snowing before daylight and didn't let up til around noon.

Did the next best thing tho. Worked on an old tractor. :>)

Well Allen, I think we hit 90 today. Maybe we"ll get some cooler weather this weekend. Be nice to see some rain though.

Yep, winter is on the doorstep. Freeze warning tonight. Guess that will be the end of the tomatoes. I'm not sure if I'm sad about that or not. It's been a less than good year for tomatoes but I'd still like to get another week or 2 of picking (mostly picking and tossing this year). I've picked as late as November 3rd one year here in SW PA. In the past I've taken the air blast sprayer out before sunup and sprayed water to try to protect them from the frost. Don't know if it helped or not but at least you felt like you were trying. But this year I seem to be older and lazier so the sprayer will probably stay in the shed.

Just checked the weather report (www.uswx.com) Says only low 30s tonight and mid 30s tomorrow night. Guess I'll fill the sprayer afterall.

I flushed the heater core today. Seems to be getting a good strong flow now. Had heat before the gauge even came up on the "cold" mark. :>)

Still have not found that silly flasher tho. Betcha it is up under that roof panel. :>(

They threatened us with rain today with a cool front going through Western SC, but it fizzled out and I was able to get the hay I had cut baled. About 25 rounds.
I can see lightening way to the North of me, probably near Charlotte, NC. One time years ago I did bale hay as it was starting to snow a little. The cows didn't care when they ate the hay.

Gee Allen, thats a funny colored mud on the tire :'( Supposed to get snow by friday in the higher elevations here. I cleaned out my square baler today, and took it off, I won't be needing it again for about 7 1/2 months or so. It made me sad. I just made some hay with it day before yesterday, which is the latest I have ever made hay before. The wind blew all day today, and that pretty well stripped most of the maple trees of their leaves. I hate this time of year, when all the summer things get put away, and nothing but cold weather to look forward to for many months. It is the approaching end of yet another year of life.

Same here, except I didn't get any snow, only cold and rainy. I did get my B back into one piece. Now if my decals and new front tire would show up I could get this rig moved out and a new project moved in for the winter
