First of all you have given minnimun wants. You want a tractor. What size disc do you want to pull. Is that all you want it for ????? No you want to clean you barns. So therefore you want a loader to fit this tractor. What are your barn door heights????? Do you want a new one or a used one????? What kind of monies are you willing to part with ????? No way can anyone help without some of the above ????? answered.
Maybe some can but I can't. ?????

A disc is used to till the earth, it is a type of plow. Some how I get the feelin that you wanta cut grass, brush, an weeds. A rotary cutter? Whatever, a 6 footer should match better to a tractor that'll have a 4 foot loader bucket which ever one you mean.
I only mention this cause discing usually follows plowing an you said you warn't gone plow.

OK 600, 601, 800, 801,2000, 3000 Ford
MF35, 135, 145 Massey Ferguson
Fordson Dexta or Super Dexta
and lots more by other manufacterers.
Don't worry you'll get lots of help here.
Everbody has their favorites, but at $4000 you gone prolly need wrenches if you don't have none.

Newer? Older? How big a bucket? Got any mechanical aptitude? How big is the budget? Paying cash or financeing? How big a disc? Any plowing? How big a place? What ALL do you want it to do? How big is yore place?
It's kinda like buying clothes, tractor has to fit the situation and the feller using it. Don't want the wrong size niether.

Good choice the 135.
A Ford 3000 would suit his needs well too.

The MF135 and Ford 3000 are both stone reliable, powerful, manuverable, and easy to find parts and accessories for. Not terribly expensive either. The 8 foot disk might be problematic for either..... Have to go big for that.

I have a 7.5' tandem that I use behind my 3000. It would lift and pull a little bigger disc no problem.

Not to jack the thread, but my old man bought our first new piece of equipment. A spanking new set of discs. High dollar. 7 foot and heavy as h**l. Didn't even need to put any ballast on 'em. Cut like a scalpel. Pretty blue paint and fresh black rubber grease seals.

He even brought people up to look at 'em.

Well, a few weeks later (after a coat of wax) they were struck by lightning. Blew off the paint and burned up the grease and seals. Then they looked exactly like the sets all the neighbors had (and better matched the rest of our implements...).

They say pride cometh before the fall....

Thats a pretty funny story. Reminds me I went to tsc a couple of weeks ago and I was looking at the 6 1/2 foot king cutter disks they had there. I bought one last year but they had the same one there this year marked $100 dollars cheaper because it had scratched paint!!?? It looked exactly like mine the day I bought it 1 year before. I actually got mine for the same price because I had a $100 dollar off coupon the year before on mine. Made me chuckle when I looked at it too. It was sold less than a week later when I went back there.
