Does anyone know if there is a website to get wiring diagrams for combines.

Think I have a broken wire to half of my headlites on my 1660 combine.

There aren't any in the manual.

I've tried following the wires and there are so many I get lost. And I lose them inside the cab post.

Thanks Gary

Gary, it may be the key switch. some of them power lights from two poles on the switch.

Gary,

I had a similar problem last year with my 1660. I found out that with the engine off when I would turn on the lights and repeatedly turn on/off the key switch, sometimes all the lights would work and sometimes only about half of them. With the engine off I could hear a solonoid somewhere close to the engine compartment click when all the lights lit. No click- only half of lights. I got by last year by just turning key switch off and on until I got lights.

This year they haven"t failed (YET) so I haven"t had to track down the suspect solonoid. I have a friend who is a CASE-IH mechanic and that is where I go when I need a wiring schematic. He usually helps me trace my problem too! It is great to have a friend and neighbor who is so helpful.

Eric

Eric you may be on to something.

Becuase the day I was tryin to get them going they worked and I had no idea what I did to get them on.

That nite when I turned them on only right half was working again.

Didn't know they were on two solonoids.

I will check that out.

Thanks Gary
