Hi. I have one of these also, and it also had a whining pump and slow hydraulics. The filter is in the transmission case towards the rear on the left side. It has a rounded football shaped cover with two bolts on the 'points' of the football. It's around 2 inches long. It's spring loaded, the spring holding in the filter. It appears to be a permanent washable screen type filter. I washed mine in gasoline and replaced it, but it plugged up again very shortly, although it was clean and the fluid was clean. It seems like the filter media behind the screen outer portion is swollen up and won't let hydraulic fluid through.

Hope this helps.

By the way, do you know where to get a new one?

I don't know if the L245DT is the same as the L245 but on the L245 i also had difficulty finding the hydraulic filter. On the L245 it is on the left side of the tractor under the seat. The way I remember it is had two bolts holding it in.

Aloha, Trace out the hose. Not much help, but that's a start until someone can pinpoint it for you. TIA

Has anyone replaced the pto shaft in the Kubota L245dt? I have bent mine and need to replace it. I think that I have to break the tractor at the gearbox, but I am not sure. The owners manual does not have specifics. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
