Engine Blow by through vent pipe

I have vent pipe blow by in my 3cy diesel JD tractor. What could be the cause,head gasket or cylinder problems?

It has not been using much oil up until now but the last time I used it there was wvidence of antifreeze on the right side of the engine although the oil itself seems clean.

may need a head gasket this could cause the sudden extra blow by .

Ron,

Is it foggin' the mosquitoes? If so, it has a hole in a piston.

Otherwise, blow-by on an older diesel is totally normal. Put a brand spankin' new engine in it and it will still have blowby.

It is how the engine breathes.
