Well I finished up cutting what 4th I'm cutting and just completely opposite of IaGary I now have to climb out of the climate controlled haying outfits and see if I can get this combine to run 80 acres of corn. Fingers crossed and I'm hoping.

I love the looks of the "5" series JD combines. Any chance of some photos of it in action?

Dave,

That thing is gonna peel 'er off the cob like popcorn; not to worry.

What? You mean to stand there and tell me you are tired of doing hay? :>)

Don't worry, I've still got a week of baling and stacking. Not to mention loading semis all winter. This will be a nice break though. You oughta bring that loader down and we'll mount my small bale grapple on it. That thing will load a semi pretty high. David

You ain't a gonna believe this,

I'm toyin' with the idea of cutting another 43 acres of "short alfalfa" before I plow 'er up. Do I have enough daylight left this year? :>)

You can sure come and get the loader if ya want tho..... . :>)

You've still got time. A lot of people dropping hay around here still(I finished today). It might be two weeks before its dry, but it'll get there. Fall haying always gets slow. David

Thanks Pard,

I was kinda on the fence, but you made my mind up for me. I think we have two weeks yet before the nasty stuff sets in.

I've baled hay after the snow melted off the windrows. You just never know in this area.

What's the auction number? I've searched ebay every way possible and can't get it to show up.

Not that I'd be caught dead owning an IH combine, but sure would like to see that box of ragamuffin kittens. :>)
