When I lived in Minnesota, I remember well the joke wars that were going on with Iowa. One memorable one was. Why don't they have natural turf at the Univerity of Iowa? Because they have to keep the cheerleaders from grazing after the games.

Now I live in Austin, not too far from College Station where the Aggies are, but too old to be telling college jokes.
