I have a 1935 wc that when it idles for 15-20 min. it misses and quits. I have had the mag worked on and put new automotive plug wires on. I set the valves but it still quits. The plugs are a little damp when it quits. Should I have the mag rechecked or are the wires wrong? Am I missing something else?

You say NEW auto plug wires on, bet thats the problem. MAGs need true copper wire plug wires to work as they should. Auto plug wires aren't true copper wire and loose 50% of the spark from a mag maybe even more. PUT on real copper core plug wires and see if your problem goes away.
