Rarest JD Collection in the World open to public
I'm SO EXCITED! The Keller family tractor collection is open to the public. On October 7th and 8th in Forest Junction, WI, what has to be the rarest and one of the largest John Deere collections in the world is open to the public. The Keller family tractor collection consists of more than 525 vintage tractors, mainly of the John Deere and Minneapolis-Moline brand lines.
It's been nearly a decade since the collection was open for general public viewing. The collection contains 54 first-built units of a particular model, a handful of the last built units from a model line, six experimental tractors and two that were the only ones made for that model. Other must see tractors in the collection are the first John Deere 83O diesel made in 1958, the first general purpose BW from the production line on Feb. 21, 1935
A friend of mine has seen this collection..... He said it is simply stunning.

Hi Brad,
I"m not sure if I"ll get there or not. I do custom work as well as my own farm work and may be planting winter wheat, or building grain sides for my truck- that needs to get done soon!
I don"t mean to question you, but according to Google Maps, it"s only 23.5 miles to Forest Junction. That must put you out by Pulaski!
Have you seen the collection before? It"s nice. There"s a nice JD 8010 that would go well with my 4010.

I just did a Mapquest search and you are correct it lists it at just about 28 mi. Seems alot farther when it takes about 45 min. though. I live very close to where Hwys 43 meets 41. I have never seen the collection but am not that into John Deeres, I am more of a IH guy. Still think that it would be neat to see though

I"m an IH guy too, but it really is worth seeing. If nothing else it gives you a chance to see and gain an appreciation for MM tractors, not just JD.
What red do you have?

Paul

I have a 41 H, 47 MD and my dad and I have invested in a 560D and a 806D. the 806D and the MD are the only two that currently run. the H is in the rebuild process and the 560 is in really bad shape.

When I get home from work this evening I will try to send you an email that contains the pictures of my H, MD, and 806D if I can figure out how to work these dang computer things.

They'd be the ones that used to own the dealership right? I was at the show the last time with my dad (I couldn't drive yet) and I remember a few high crops, and on in particular was a fire-engine red Deere, painted for some fire house or something. Really looked sharp.

I'm more partial to Oliver's, but any collection of that size is worth seeing.

I wish I could go, but I've already got other plans and I'm gonna be in the southern part of the state....

And it"s about 25 miles west of me, in Valders, WI.
I have seen it before and it is pretty neat. Years ago they had a JD dealership, Keller Implement I think. More recently the business has been Keller structures, building farm and industrial buildings.
Anyway, it is a very nice collection, and astounding in it"s size. I see many of his tractors featured in calendars and the like.
