Hello,

My Dad recently upgraded to a JD 4400 combine. He had been using a Uni-System (gas engine). It is still in really decent shape, has a two row 38" corn head and a 4 row bean head with a floating sickle, always been shedded and good rubber. The problem is they won't give him anything on a trade in. I'm sure a diesel would bring more that a gas. What do you guys think it is worth. I'm thinkin about putting it on ebay.

Thanks,

Mark

E-Bay or Fastline Publications. There isn't much call for them anymore but there are people still using them.701 or 702 or703 with 710 Combine.New Idea made them from the early mid 60s to early 2000s.When they tried going to an 8 row Machine was the end.Agco didn't help the Matter any.

I'm assuming you mean the Minneapolis Moline Uni-system. Rather than ebay, I'd put it on here, in the ads, and on the Moline board, which is jetstar dot minneapolis dash moline dot com (substitute punctuation for words as appropriate). Unfortunately, there's not a lot of demand for these machines, mainly because they are collector items rather than for "using", and they are bulky and difficult to transport to shows. Be sure and list your location in the ads. Good luck.
